Welcome to my page. I am an excited and enthusiastic theatre stage manager and theatre designer currently based in Brisbane. With eight years’ experience in theatre and no plan of stopping anytime soon. I am egger and excited about improving my skills further and learning more about different types of live performance. Starting at a young age I have been exposed to many aspects of the constant and ever evolving world of the arts not just from behind the scenes but also having an appreciation and understanding for what happens on stage. My passion has always been in the arts, constantly being influenced and inspired by the array of new and exciting things to work on. Whilst my knowledge of the different aspects of the technical world of theatre is still growing I am supporting this growth currently by studying a Bachelor of fine arts in technical production at the Queensland University of Technology. Other interest of mine consist of art, fashion, film and scenic deign which are all transferable skills when it comes to creating designs and worlds for live performances. Having grown up and come from an amateur theatre that is filled with people that are there because they love what they do has given me a great work ethic when it comes to helping out and working in a theatre environment. I am always happy to lend a hand and learn new skills, that otherwise I would not have if only doing my one assigned task. I get inspiration from a range of different references when designing for theatre, performance designers such as the work of Bunny Christie and Robert Wilson never fail to challenge and inspire my visions for work. Music like that of John Powell and David Nessim Lawrence compositions always gives me chills and whilst my strength tends to stray from audio and music, the ability of what music can do allows me to see and envision a desired atmosphere for my works. But Who am I? Well I am a daughter, sister and a friend, I’m Australian, I’m an animal lover, I love arts and crafts, I have major life ambitions, I love to travel, I have a positive outlook on life and I am a passionate theatre practitioner but most importantly I love everything I do.
